Christmas Magic at the Vue Rooftop

The Vue rooftop became our Christmas dinner destination! Bridget, our host, was wonderfully helpful and professional. My mom and I appreciated her personable nature! The location is convenient, near many restaurants. A new museum about the American dream just opened down the block, too.
Calling the hotel proved nearly impossible, I could barely talk to a real person.

The service was great, particularly from Justin at The Patio and Emmanuel at Fireclay. They showed genuine kindness! Fekade, our waiter, provided attentive service and great recommendations! He.

The rooms were clean and well-kept, with updated features that I certainly appreciated! I found two complimentary bottles of water provided each day. This was a nice touch. The rooms also had a coffee machine!

excellent stay with great service
excellent location friendly staff
the hotel location saved transportation costs due to its proximity to memorials. walking was easy, allowing more time at museums. i also found the staff friendly and helpful. it was reassuring to have people who cared so much. a real relief when traveling.
the coffee machine made tiny quantities of coffee. each shot barely filled a few tablespoons. it was very inconvenient in the morning, requiring several refills.

Inconsistent Experience. Some Issues
street commotions thin walls
I found some aspects of my stay irritating. The noise was disruptive. I could clearly hear street commotions late into the night. The walls seemed thin, a fact I discovered when a loud argument erupted next door. It was hardly the peaceful experience I had hoped for and certainly not what one expects at this price point, really. I had to call the front desk, with limited results.

Acceptable Location. Some Issues
missing item room noise
The location was acceptable for visiting monuments and museums.
Important items were missing from my room like water and a toothbrush. They only provided two small water bottles. I could also hear noise from another room which was not ideal.

Really good Stay Experience!
silent room great bed convenient location
My room was totally silent, perfect for sleeping. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all great. Breakfast at Fireclay in the lobby was fantastic. It started my day wonderfully. The location is near restaurants and only a short walk to the White House. Very convenient!
Getting on an elevator to my room took some time. There was a line.

Excellent Stay Near the White House
rooftop bar friendly staff
The rooftop bar offered amazing views. Every staff member I encountered was friendly. I booked this hotel because of its close location. It was easy to walk to the White House across the street.
Guests were not allowed elevator use. Elevators were reserved for an event. I needed access to my room for medication, but it was denied.

The front desk offered quick check-in and check-out services. The reception desk staff were polite. A staff member named Zahra, responsible for cleaning rooms, was very friendly and helpful. Every staff member was super friendly.

elevator issue constant noise
the front desk was helpful. but nothing else really stood out.
the elevators were a major issue. only one of the three elevators worked. this caused long waits and a lot of noise right outside my room. it was hard to relax with people constantly waiting and talking nearby
